Abstract

The retractable stylograph pen has a cartridge of liquid ink and a nib extended and retracted mechanically. The cartridge supporting the nib has air holes connecting the interior via a space in the housing and a hole in the latter to atmosphere. Two sealing members working together, one on the cartridge and the other in the housing, open up the connection between the interior of the cartridge and atmosphere when the nib is extended, and shut it off when retracted.
