Abstract
Glass gobs removed from a source of molten glass are distributed, by means of a distribution device (13), to two moulding devices (11, 12). The moulding devices are controlled by a control device (18) in that this control device excites solenoid valves of valve blocks (16, 17), which solenoid valves actuate the moulding devices for carrying out a sequence of process steps. Since the glass gobs cannot be fed simultaneously, but only sequentially, to the two moulding devices, the operating cycles of the moulding devices are temporally offset with respect to one another. One detector device (23, 25) in each case is allocated to each moulding device to generate a display signal when a glass gob has reached the entrance to the mould of the respective moulding device. These display signals are transmitted to the control device (18), so that the latter initiates the start of the operating cycle of the respective moulding device when a glass gob has reached it.
