Abstract

Textile materials are submitted for bleaching or dyeing treatments whilst held stationary, using a fluid treatment medium under pressurised circulation. The pressurised circulation is effected using a pressurised gas vector which circulates in the equipment and displaces the treatment fluid to encourage penetration into the material. A closed treatment circuit includes two communicating autoclaves. The system is contrived to provide a supplementary circuit offering a pump connection, as well as the pressurised gas vector, to offer a "convertible" arrangement for pressurisation. The use of gas pressure as a vector allows the use of smaller quantities of treatment liquid, with consequent reduction of energy consumption and waste products. The installation of a series of autoclaves further permits the treatment of several loads with the same quantity of treatment liq.
