Abstract

The silo is cylindrical, the contents being removed from the top through a central duct (4). The upper surface (5) is cut by a cutter chain (3) rotating inside the silo. This is mounted on an arm (6), having supporting wheels (10) and rotated by a driver (9) on an outrigger (13). Three rollers bear on the silo inner walls, the two lower (15, 16) forming part of the arm; the upper roller (20) slides (19) in an extension (17, 18), to this. A quadrant (22) behind the slider is connected by cable (23) to the arm and, if the latter dips or rises, an opposing thrust is imposed on it to bring it level.
