Abstract

Appts. for preliminary treatment of fabrics consisting of plastic strips of films with apertured structure, comprises HF, HT electrodes which are directed onto the fabrics or films and which are both provided with a dielectric and which are pref. both in the form of rollers. The dielectric may be a silicone. No corona discharge with fine distribution of the individual electron paths occurs, but only a few discharge paths are formed with large gaps between them, which do not impinge on the individual threads of the fabric, but move past them towards the counter-electrode. The treated fabrics or films can be subjected to printing or adhesion with the same success as film treated with conventional appts.
