Abstract

The covers are for the protection and insulation of electrical connections. They are in the form of a one piece moulded shell n3). This shell (3) is made from a flexible insulating material. It has a rear part (5) and a front part or cap (6) which are connected to each other by a thin wall (7) which serves as a hinge. A folding cover (2) is connected by a tongue (4) to and edge of the cap (6). To form the protective cover the rear part (5) is folded at the hinge (7) into the cap (6). The cover (2) is folded at the hinge (4) onto the shell. The cover thus produces a sealed volume inside of which the conducting connection pieces are insulated.
