Abstract

The watch case, which prevents the ingress of dust, has the element (1) forming the frame for the watch glass (3) made from resilient material, with its edges bent under, to hold the watch glass (3) to the base (2) of the watch case. The frame element (1) is bent under on its side edges, to form hooks (11) which engage notches (10) extending from the base (2) into which the watch movement fits. The latter is held in place in the base via the watch face (6), with the four corners (8) of the base centered with the four corners (9) of the frame element (1) and the four corners of the watch face (6) fitting into the corners of a corresponding seating aperture in the base (2).
