Abstract

The small objects in transit are contained in a feed hopper (32) which discharges under gravity into the outlet duct (30). Air is introduced into the nozzle (24) through the feed tube (28). The air in the nozzle is supplied to an outer ring which then feeds a number of radial holes, which direct the air in a jet along the pipe, and in the direction of motion of the articles. The articles may then be taken over any distance along the pipe (26) which can be horizontal or vertical. The articles may be transferred to a vibratory conveyor or belt conveyor for further processing or assembly.
