Abstract

Spectacle frames are designed for improved comfort. One or more pressure points which make contact with the user's skin are made up from one or more cushion's comprising two thin sheets of plastics welded together and enclosing a volume of air. The nose-pressure pads are made up from rigid cushion-holders (12a) which carry the cushion's (2) as described above. Alternatively, the cushions may be mounted directly onto support rods. The cushion is deformed under the weight of the frame and this presents a flexible contact area with the user's skin, minimising irritation.
