Abstract

The turn indicator return mechanism has a control stalk pivoted about a fixed point and continuing past the pivot as a sector (5) with contoured edge (16). A cylinder (19) has its base joined by a spring (26) to the fixed pivot. A lateral rod extends out of the side of the cylinder in which it is sprung housed, and can slide along the cylinder. The rod rests against the contoured edge of the sector. The steering column (32) has a circular pawl ring (33) with two panels which engage on the end of the cylinder to centralize the control stalk when the steering wheel has been turned through a certain rotation and returned.
