Abstract

The roll-up curtains have a considerable open length between the end attachments, so that an intermediate support is needed, for prevention of excessive sagging. The intermediate support serves for retention and guidance of the roller, which rests on a continuous roller-borne strip. The support incorporates an additional continuous strip at the top, pressing on the curtain roller, so that this is held between the two lengths of strip. The strips may be made of elastic material, and be stretched so that they form a virtually flat surface if the curtain roller is absent from the place where they should grip it. They may have transverse ribs on the outside facing the curtain roller. This prevents permanent folding, creasing and eventual premature wear or tearing of the curtain material.
