Abstract

Compsn. comprises a microcellular rubber with closed cells, a vulcanising agent, a pore forming agent, a reinforcing filler to provide e.g. tear'-, torsion- and compression strength, a colourant giving the cork colour to the vulcanisate, and opt. cork granules. Suitable for closure of foodstuff containers e.g. wine bottles. The prod. has good sealing props and has the attractive appearance and pleasant feel of cork.
