Abstract

The electrical brake signal control has a hollow cylindrical body (2) open at one end, while the other end has a threaded extension piece (3) by which it is secured to the brake handle, a nut (19) being screwed onto this piece to prevent it turning. Inside the body at the end nearest the extension piece is an electrical conductor piece (8), and the brake cable passes (6) through a drilling (7) in the extension piece. A plunger (9) of insulating material also has an axial cable drilling (13) and slides inside the body, and is equipped with two separate conductor blades in series in the signalling circuit. When the brake is applied, the blade are connected to each other as they are pressed against the conductor piece, a return spring normally (16) holding them and the plunger clear of it.
