Abstract

The large size or smoke duct consists of two single ducts (1, 2) which join up into an exit duct (3). A hinge flap (4) is placed along the common edge of the two single ducts (6). The plate (4) has two end positions where either of the two single ducts can be shut off, leaving the other one connected to the exit duct (3). In order to move the flap between the two end positions, a rope and pulley arrangement is provided. The pulleys have spring-loaded bearing blocks so that they can compensate thermal length variations of the rope. The rope can be operated by an electro-motor (14) or a hand wheel (15).
