Abstract

The closure comprises three parts, and is fitted over a neck (40) on the container and retained by an internal circumferential rib (16) on the inner part engaging in a groove (41) on the neck. The inner part consists of two skirts (10, 12) joined by a flexible perforated domed end piece (13). The outer skirt has grooves (11) running round it. The second part is in the form of a wheel (20) with a central boss (22). The wheel is pressed into the inner skirt and engages in a groove (15) the end of the boss closing the hole (14). The third part is an outer cap with a tear-off end piece (33). When the container is inverted, after removal of the end piece, the pressure of the contents, augmented by squeezing the bottle, deforms the domed piece, so opening the hole.
