Abstract

To fit the attachment for raising a load, the locking plate (3) is pivoted (7) on the body (1) to close the passage between the fixed jaw (9) and the moving jaw (12). A shackle (15) locks the rear plate (17) to the arm (13). The load is suspended from another shackle (4) on the body (1). When a pull (F1) is applied to the first shackle (15), the locking force between fixed and mobile jaws is released and load raised. Releiving the upward force again brakes the cord. To lower a load, the top levers are placed in the opposite direction and the cord passes through similar to a pulley block.
