Abstract

A full length therapeutic stocking eliminating skin marking or constriction in the upper part comprises a circumferentially elastic boot section of elastomeric filament containing elastic yarn, a narrow band of non-slip elastomeric webbing, and an attachment section comprising a single-ply circumferential strip at the top of the boot, the band being attached to the strip by over-edge stitching with adjacent parts of the strip and band inner surfaces aligned. The strip is pref. integral with the boot section and may be elastic to non-elastic, and the stitching is a two-thread merrow seam of bulk or stretch yarn thread.
