Abstract

The cross-beam has a middle section and two side-jib-arms which can flap up into a vertical position by means of bolts. Wheels are positioned at the extreme ends of the side jib-arms, as well as track-markers. The middle section has land-wheels at the back which are adjustable in height by means of a spindle and can be moved sideways. A metering-device on top of the hopper has metering-wheels which are driven by means of chain-drive, adjustable, variable-speed gear and a friction-wheel by the machine's left hand land-wheel. The friction wheel is pivot-mounted on the chassis by means of a jib-arm.
