Abstract

The drier converts organic material into soil improvement materials, fertilisers or animal feed. Vegetables can also be dried in this machine. The organic materials are processed in a rotating furnace chamber. Heat is supplied by exhaust gas from a combustion chamber. The gases and vapours released during drying treatment are returned to the combustion chamber. The rotating furnace chamber is enclosed, and a vacuum is maintained in the furnace by a blower in the return line to the combustion chamber. The furnace is pref. housed in an insulated enclosure, the rotary body consisting of two frustoconical sections whose larger ends face one another.
