Abstract

The machine comprises a fan, a cutter situated upstream of the fan and a separator located between them so that the cut leaves do not pass through the fan. The separator comprises a flexible band (6) mounted between rollers (4, 5), one of which is driven in rotation, in a housing. There may be two inlets (2) for the fan (7) in each of which a rotary cutter (12) is mounted, the cutters being driven by low power low speed motors (14). The fan outlet (3) is at the top of the machine.
