Abstract

The carrier has a rectangular base (1) with a central recess which will hold a rectangular carton of the type used for milk or soft drinks. A pillar (3) located at one end of the base supports a lid (4) which is hinged at one end. The lid is furnished with two conical punches (6,7) which perforate the lid of the container when the pourer lid is closed down onto the carton. The cone (7) will leave an opening (16) through which air will enter the carton. The pourer has a cylindrical portion (5) above the cone to form a seal.
