Abstract

The parent patent describes a moulding and packaging device for suppositories of the type that can be moulded in two-part cavities, one is normally open and receives the other part which acts as a movable closing cap. The devices are mounted in a moulding plate with a dished surface to receive the molten prod. Novelty is that the cavities are formed in one piece with the moulding plate, the ends open into the plate at orifices which are closed by a cover. This includes a circular sealing joint which prevents spillage in case of any accidental melting of the suppositories. Internal and external push buttons are provided in the cover to assist in the evacuation of each suppository from its cavity, after removal of the closing cap.
