Abstract

The adjustable two-piece hair-cutting comb comprises a support(1) and the comb(2) which sandwich a fixed razor blade. The blade is fixed to the support(1), and the two pieces fit together by continuous complementary tongues and grooves on the longitudinal edges. The arrangement permits relative sliding of the support(1) and the comb(2) in a direction parallel to the teeth(3) of the latter. The projection of the teeth beyond the blade is, thus, adjustable. The comb may be of plastic, and the tongues(5, 12) and grooves(8, 11) may be of a demi-rounded dove-tail variety. The tongues may have demi-spherical projections at intervals and which engage reciprocal recesses in the base of the grooves to lock the support(1) and the comb(2) in alternative relationships. The blade may be retained by studs which locate within intermediate comb grooves(10).
