Abstract

Dispositif de détection de champ magnétique comprenant au moins un élément magnétorésistant placé dans ce champ. Selon l'invention, le dispositif est caractérisé en ce que l'élément magnétorésistant est associé à un élément conducteur électrique isolé de lui et parcouru par un courant d'excitation alternativement positif et négatif, de manière à détecter la présence du champ dans lequel il est placé en comparant le phase dudit courant d'excitation et la phase du courant délivré par l'élément magnétorésistant en réponse à l'action sur celui-ci dudit champ et du champ magnétique produit par le courant d'excitation. Applicable aux dispositifs de lecture d'informations magnétiques codées, notamment, les lecteurs de chèques.
