Abstract

The power-assisted steering system includes a piston on one side of which are rack teeth. A recirculating ball nut is mounted on the piston which also includes a transverse eccentric distributor. A centring device between the piston and nut consists of an anti-locking device with two opposed depressions between which is a rolling body. The piston may include a bore which receives a stud with a depression on its inner end, the other depression being provided in a U-section spring rigidly fixed to the nut.
