Abstract

The heater comprises a battery of transparent tubes mounted in parallel on a frame, with a tube of smaller diameter passing up and down through the outside tubes. A liq. heat carrier passed through the inside tube which is maintained under mechanical tension by fixing rings which hold it in position at each of the bends. Pref. outer tubes are of the type used in fluorescent lights or are made from glass or plastic bottles piled on top of one another with a hole in the base to accommodate the inside tubes. The outside tubes are silvered on part of their lateral surface. Appts. is easily constructed and the basic materials are cheap. It may conveniently be fitted to various locations on a house.
