Abstract

Dispositif qui, destiné à transformer en compost un mélange de boues de curage et de déchets, comprend une tour de réaction, au moins deux appareils de fragmentation, un transporteur et un appareil d'aération. Le premier appareil de fragmentation 11 comporte des jeux de couteaux qui permettent aux déchets 8 d'être réduits à une grosseur de grain d'environ 1 à 3 cm**3 et d'être recueillis dans une cuvette collectrice 6 à partir de laquelle la matière est amenée au moyen du transporteur 5 à la partie supérieure d'une couverture 3 où elle entre dans la chambre de réaction en étant une nouvelle fois fragmentée au moyen d'un second appareil de fragmentation 21. L'invention est applicable à la préparation d'engrais.
