Abstract

L'invention concerne un système permettant la combustion de combustibles solides, en particulier de bois et de déchets de bois. Les combustibles sont introduits dans une chambre de combustion et un espace de combustion est ménagé au-dessus de ces combustibles, espace dans lequel de l'air à combustion est insuflé. Le système comprend une calotte reposant par son propre poids sur le combustible et délimitant au-dessus de celui-ci un espace de combustion. De l'air à combustion est insuflé par le haut à travers la calotte dans l'espace de combustion. Durant la combustion, la calotte s'abaisse de son propre poids de manière à reposer continuellement sur le combustible, afin qu'un espace de combustion homogène soit toujours maintenu au-dessus du combustible. Les gaz de combustion et les cendres volantes s'échappent vers le haut à travers la calotte. L'invention trouve une application pour le chauffage de locaux ou de bâtiments.
