Abstract
Batterie formée de plusieurs piles dont chacune se compose d'une électrode en contact avec l'air et d'une électrode consommable formée d'une barre métallique dont la surface extrême est l'unique surface de travail et pénètre de manière étanche dans un compartiment à électrolyte, l'électrode de métal étant montée de manière à avancer au fur et à mesure de son usure afin que la distance qui la sépare de l'autre électrode demeure très faible et constante. Les piles sont disposées parallèlement et montées en série et la disposition des électrodes d'une pile est l'inverse de celle des piles voisines. Application aux piles à combustible montées en batteries de production de grandes puissances avec des densités élevées de courant
