Abstract

Dispositif de radiothérapie neutronique muni d'une tête d'irridation placée à l'extrémité d'un bras mobile pouvant tourner de 360 degrés autour d'un axe XX. Ce dispositif comporte un accélérateur linéaire de particules chargées délivrant un faisceau de particules accélerées (des électrons), une cible destinée à être bombardée par le faisceau d'électrons accélérés et pouvant émettre des neutrons sous l'impact de ce faisceau, des moyens de refroidissement de la cible, des moyens d'élimination des rayonnements parasites, un système de collimation du faisceau utile de neutrons. L'accélérateur peut être placé soit à l'intérieur soit à l'extérieur du bras mobile. Application aux traitements médicaux de certaines tumeurs.
