Abstract

The heater has a heat exchanger (11) within an outer casing (10). A gas burner (12) at the bottom of the heat exchanger is supplied from a gas distribution box (13). A balanced flue (16) has an outer sleeve through which fresh air enters and an inner tube through which flue gases are discharged. The air reaches the burner through a box (15) at the side of the heat exchanger. A fan (20) is mounted in a casing (17) on the side of the air box (15). The casing has internal divisions so that the fan draws flue gases and discharges them and that it also draws in part of the fresh air which it adds to the flue gases to dilute them to reduce their temperature.
