Abstract

The linking clasp for joining the ends of conveyor belts, comprises two branches (5, 6) that can be rabetted onto opposite faces of the belt (2, 3) and linked to it. The links are a combination of cramps (8) sunk into and in rows of transverse hole rows in the clasp in one branch of the clasp. The cramps are held to the inner face of the other branch by suitable retainers. The cramps each have a 'U' form and have ends shaped (11) to clip into matching retainer units in the inner branch. The retainers may be in the form of rivets (9) across the branch.
