Abstract

The diaphragm (4) has a fixing bead (3) which is arranged at the rim and is clamped in a chamber formed between the valve housing (1) and the valve cover (2). With the stop faces of the valve housing and the valve cover resting fixedly on one another, the height of the chamber is designed to be just sufficient to allow the fixing bead a permanently maintained spring-back capacity. This prevents both uncontrolled tightening of the screw fastening between the valve housing and the valve cover and puncturing of the diaphragm by an actuating drive controlled as a function of displacement and by reason of the skew positioning of the drive.
