Abstract

The elevator table (1) for caravans or boats, can descent to convert a table ringed by bench seats (6, 7, 8) into a bed. The table (1) may have a square top, be surrounded on three sides by bench seats (6, 7, 8) and may be mounted on a single central vertical leg (4, 3). The leg constitutes a hydraulic jack and has controls (5) which effect either the ascent or descent of the table-top (1). The controls (5) operate a fluid pump and the leg may be a cylinder (4) with an upper sliding piston section ('3). Alternatively the table may be mounted on a telescopic extending leg with a separate jacking leg. The controls (5) may be mounted on the jack cylinder which is anchored to the floor, or may be mounted at a distance from the jack. A foot pedal (5) can raise the table (1) in a similar fashion to controls used with dentist's chairs.
