Abstract

L'invention a trait à une amélioration dans un convertisseur de couple qui comprend un stator principal, une pompe et une turbine. La commande peut s'effectuer par pédale.The invention relates to an improvement in a torque converter which includes a main stator, a pump and a turbine. The improvement comprises an original auxiliary stator between the main stator and the pump, said auxiliary stator having a number of holes made in the vicinity of its periphery. A number of fins are attached to a number of shafts mounted in the holes so that they can be rotated to adjustably direct the flow of hydraulic fluid from the main stator to the pump through the fins. Part of the improvement is also a number of levers, each attached at an unchanging angle to one end of each of the shafts opposite the fin. A sheath is provided which has a certain number of slots at one of its ends, the number of slots corresponding exactly to the number of levers, a handle being held so as to be able to slide in each of said slots. The control can be done by foot pedal.
