Abstract

The articles are positioned onto a rigid base and covered by a plastic sheet which is supplied from a spool (20). The free end of the film is held in a clip below the article (40). The article is pushed by the ram (4) from the loading position to the wrapping position. The article passes under the rollers and under the wrapping film. After wrapping the film end is taken back to the starting position for the next repeat operation. An alternative arrangement allows for two wrapping films to be used, one over and one under the article.
