Abstract

L'invention a pour objet des fibres de type modacrylique, des compositions et un procédé pour leur préparation. On prépare les fibres selon l'invention par filage au mouillé de compositions de copolymères, les fibres étant constituées d'un mélange d'un copolymère binaire A d'acrylonitrile et d'un monomère sulfonique homopolymérisable de façon significative et d'un copolymère binaire B d'acrylonitrile et de chlorure de vinylidène. Les fibres présentent une inflammabilité réduite en conservant un brillant élevé (voir microphotographie en coupe) même après des traitements hydrothermiques, leur rendement tinctorial est excellent
