Abstract
The equipment generates heat or cold using the Rankine cycle, and has in a circuit containing a refrigerating medium an expander and an evaporator. It incorporates two or more condenser-exchangers (3, 4) in parallel and in which pressure increase is effected by heating from an independent source. The transformation cycles in the exchangers are staggered, to give a regular and continuous output to the evaporator (1). The staggering can be arranged so as to give partial balancing of pressure at the exchanger filling unit. The refrigerating medium can be delivered from the evaporator outlet to the exchangers to be filled by a pump functioning without appreciable back-pressure.
