Abstract

The light plastic one piece disposable container (5) with a removable lid (9) is for heating precooked tinned food or other tinned products within their own original containers eliminating wastage. It is build in several sizes to accommodate various sized tins, and can be delivered commercially in standard packaging without need or modification. Heating is produced by natural combustion of metaldehyde (CH3-CHO)n or other chemicals. The tin is deposited onto a spring which then comes into direct contact with the base. A flexible tongue or strip (8) is then pulled and produces ignition. Safety is assured by a fully encircling band (11) mfd. of any non-inflammable material.
