Abstract

L'invention concerne un succédané du tabac. La substance à fumer de l'invention est obtenue à partir de viscose de cellulose régénérée contenant TiO2 et du charbon actif. D'un bain de filage 1, on tire une mèche 2 de fibres ondulées. En 3, celle-ci est découpée en brins qui sont cardés en 5. Le ruban 6 ainsi formé passe dans un bain 8 d'agent modificateur de combustion et dans un séchoir à air 10, puis traverse un four de pyrolyse Il à profil de température. Le toron pyrolysé passe dans d'autres bains 12 et 16 et d'autres séchoirs 14 et 18 pour recevoir d'autres agents (producteur de fumée, stimulant nicotiné, aromatisant) pour être transformé en cigarettes à bout filtre 23 par machines classiques 20 et 22. La substance à fumer ne dégage aucun produit de combustion toxique et, par sa durete et sa chute de pression, se rapproche des cigarettes ordinaires.
