Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de produits tels que barres, profilés, feuillards, tubes sans soudure en acier ordinaire ou allié, à partir d'un minerai de fer, sans passer par l'état liquide Ce procédé consiste en ce que : - on prépare un minerai de fer concentré préréduit dont la teneur en oxydes non réductibles est inférieure à 1 %; - on effectue un mélange homogène de ce minerai avec un lubrifiant, un liant et un réducteur carboné; - on compacte un lopin de ce mélange et on effectue sur le lopin compacté une réduction complète sous courant de gaz neutre ou réducteur entre 1 100 degrés et 1 350 degrés C pour obtenir un lopin d'acier poreux; - on transforme le lopin chaud sortant du four par filage, laminage ou forgeage. L'invention permet d'obtenir des produits d'analyse précise avec des installations simplifiées de capacité moyenne
