Abstract

The roundabout is for use outdoors as an activity toy located in a children's playground. It comprises an annular frame made from tubing, having arms (4) radiating from the centre point. This point forms a pivot (3), being supported on a large baseplate (2). The baseplate rests on the ground and has several arms (5) radiating outwards to a number of fixed annular rings providing a safety guard between the rotating frame and the ground. The flat surface is covered with a net (7) attached by elasticated cords to form a trampoline. The frame is rotated by hand as players jump on.
