Abstract

The combined binocular telescope and camera provides a relatively light instrument etc. the instrument consists of prismatic binoculars having housings (1, 2) containing prisms (4), objective lenses (11) and eyepiece lenses (6, 7), connected to a camera unit (26). The camera has an objective lens of the same focal length as the binocular objectives, with lens elements (17-20). The camera objective is mechanically coupled to the focussing member (14) of the binocular unit so that focussing the image in the binoculars focusses the image in the film plane (F) of the camera.
