Abstract

Heat exchanger for tractors consists of two sections (12) or more arranged alongside each other so that one opposing surface (14, 16) accepts and one receives the coolant. The sections can be swivelled round centrally placed bolts from a first setting to a second setting thus reversing the side edges of the adjoining sections where these face each other. Couplers are used to synchronise this reversal movement as between adjoining sections and thus reverse them relative to the coolant flow. The swivel axes are spaced as between sections by less than one total section width. The exchanger includes pref. a main distributor line (22) and a collector line (24) directing coolant to the sections (12), the lines supported in a frame (52) with coolant guides at the sides.
