Abstract

For increasing the stability, the pallet bearer (1) is produced by extrusion of chips of vegetable particles mixed with binders. It has on its circumferential face (2) a smooth-walled structure produced by the longitudinal orientation of the chips and on its end faces (3) a rough-sawn structure. The peripheral region (6) of the bearer is compressed to a greater extent than the other region. A pallet bearer is thereby provided which has a high loading capacity and high insensitivity to external influences and also improved adhesion properties with respect to the pallet boards.
