Abstract
The temperature and heat output regulator is used for a water heater or boiler, e.g. incorporated in a central heating system. It employs one or more temperature probes coupled to the regulator, which controls a limiting thermostat for a programmer. The latter individually controls a number of heating resistances, brought into operation one at a time, to obtain the precise heat output required. The temperature probes, the regulator, thermostat, pump, heating resistances and the programmer are thermally and electrically protected. Pref. the programmer employs a reversible stepping motor rotating a cam mechanism for operating a series of interrupters, associated with a respective heating resistance.
