Abstract
Procédé de déphosphoration de métaux ou d'alliages et nouveaux produits ainsi obtenus. Dans ce procédé, un métal ou un alliage fondu, à insaturation en carbone, contenant des éléments plus oxydables que le fer, tels que le chrome et le silicium, est déphosphoré par addition d'une composition de fondant comprenant du carbure de calcium et un halogénure d'un métal alcalino-terreux tel que du fluorure de calcium sous une atmosphère non oxydante et ensuite la scorie en tant que sous-produit est stabilisée contre la formation de gaz indésirables. La présente invention est particulièrement utile pour la production d'acier inoxydable à faible teneur en phosphore.
