Abstract

The potato planter has a reservoir from which potatoes are led to a wheel with cups around its periphery. The reservoir houses a feed conveyor delivering potatoes into a passage, a guide plate being positioned between the conveyor discharge and the passage inlet. The guide plate is associated with a stop device for the conveyor. The planter pref. also has a guide channel extending between the conveyor and guide plate, the latter being triangular with its apex pointing towards the passage. The stop device pref. includes a micro-switch being coupled to a clutch in the conveyor drive.
