Abstract

Hinged junction piece for either simple butt connected electrical conduit junctions or for 'T' junctions. The junction has interlocks on its free edges which provide a positive locking effect and prevent ingress of plaster, cement etc. The junction is in the form of two half cylinders connected by a hinge section. The end sections of each half cylinder are grooved to mate with those on the conduit. The interlocks may be in the form of a single stud on one half engaging between two similar studs on the second, or in the form of a tapered and stepped peg on one side which engages with a mating hole on the other.
