Abstract

The fuse is for ammunition or fireworks, having a chamber and an anvil forming a single assembly. The anvil has a boss bearing against an explosive mixture contained in a capsule. The chamber (1) and the anvil (8) are cast integrally typically by pressure diecasting in light alloy, zinc-based and containing aluminium, copper and magnesium. The anvil can have a flat punch in a diametral plane of the chamber, with a flat face at right angles to the chamber centre line, and of square section. It can have two parallel faces and two prismatic ones. There can be an axial vent in the chamber, at the opposite end to the capsule.
